DIFW Advisory Council Adopts New Club Tournament Participation Numbers
February 5, 2020
A win for all clubs wishing to grow their club membership, and continue with club permits while remaining under the new 20 boat maximum limit for a club tournament. The old maximum was 15 boats. this should also help relieve the pulling of open permits for a small club tournament.
The advisory council voted to adopt the Department’s proposal to increase the number of boats participating in club events, where off site parking is used. There will be a separate permit for Open and Club tournaments. Club tournaments are limited to a maximum participation of 15 boats; however, on waters exceeding 1,000 acres where trailered rig parking for all participants does NOT occur at a public boat launch facility, a maximum participation of 20 boats is allowed.
